The CEBP (SA) is awarded to practitioners in the banking industry who have at least 3 Years experience and have attained an NQF Level 7 qualification in the field. Roles include and are not limited to Senior Manager, Business Banker and Commercial Banker with complex lending responsibility, senior specialists, junior executives. Roles are at a high level of complexity, high risk and would be governed by broader decision making. For bankers with extensive banking experience (3+ years) who are operating at a managerial position. 

AWARDING CRITERIA:

For the Professional Designation to be awarded, professionals must comply with the following minimum requirements: 

Underlying Registered Qualification or Part Qualification:

The applicant needs to have attained an NQF Level 7 qualification or equivalent, including, but not limited to a bachelor's degree (NQF Level 7, 360 credits). 

Experiential Learning or Experience:

An applicant is required to have a minimum of 3+ Years of experience in Banking.

Designation RPL Statement:

This Designation may be awarded through Recognition of Prior Learning. 

RETAINING CRITERIA:

In order to ensure the currency of professional knowledge and to retain the Professional Designation, the professional must comply with the following minimum requirements: 

Code of Conduct:

Members must adhere to the Professional Body Codes of Conduct and Ethics. 

Continuing Professional Development (CPD):

Members are required to complete a minimum of 20 hours of relevant, verifiable CPD activities in a reporting cycle. One relevant hour of CPD will earn the IOBSA member 1 CPD point (minimum of 50 minutes constitutes one hour).
