FIBSA - Board Discretion This is a 12-month membership This membership is for individuals only The FIBSA is awarded very selectively and reflects a professional and senior status in the financial services or banking industry. The professional designation can be awarded to IOBSA members or non-members. AWARDING CRITERIA: For the Professional Designation to be awarded, professionals must comply with the following minimum requirements: Underlying Registered Qualification or Part Qualification: A Fellow who has already gained the CAIB designation would have attained an NQF 6 qualification or equivalent. A list of IOB recognized qualifications is provided in the IOBSA Handbook. Experiential Learning or Experience: An applicant can only be nominated when they have demonstrated to have made a significant contribution to the sector. The Fellowship is a statement of seniority in the industry. The assumption is that a practitioner would take at least five years at managerial to achieve the competencies contained within this designation. Competency Assessment: A desktop evaluation is performed on the application. IOBSA is currently engaging with Bankseta regarding the implementation of competency assessments /board exams. RETAINING CRITERIA: In order to ensure the currency of professional knowledge and to retain the Professional Designation, the professional must comply with the following minimum requirements: Code of Conduct: ๏ปฟMembers must adhere to the Professional Body Codes of Conduct and Ethics. Continuing Professional Development (CPD): Members are required to complete a minimum of 20 hours of relevant, verifiable CPD activities in a reporting cycle. One relevant hour of CPD will earn the IOB member 1 CPD point (minimum of 50 minutes constitutes one hour). Fees: Ensure that the annual membership fee is paid. | R 0 |
